
General Information
The Municipal by-laws regulating the use of the Breede River and Estuary require all power boats to be registered and licensed. Failure to do so renders operators liable to a fine under these by-laws. Click here to view the by-laws
Municipal boat licences are valid from the 1st of July to the 30th of June, irrespective of purchase date.
Day permits are also available at a flat rate of R181 per day irrespective of the size of engine(s). Click on the link should you be interested in day permits.
Annual licence costs are dependent on the horsepower of the vessel's engine(s). There are two payment methods - EFT and SnapScan.

Purchase your Annual Boat Licence via EFT or SnapScan
Please lookup your engine size in the first column of the table. If your boat has only one engine, use the cost in the second column. If your boat has twin engines, please use the cost from the third column.
Complete the application form below. Once your application has been received, we will send you an email containing our banking details and reference for your EFT payment as well as our SnapScan link should you wish to pay via SnapScan.
Licences can be collected at the LBRCT Office in Witsand or at Living the Breede in Malgas.
