The LBRCT staff visited the African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary on 24 July, to learn how to tube penguins.
We often get penguins that end up in the river that needs special attention and tubing to replace the electrolytes in their bodies. So, the next time we find a lost penguin in the river, we would be able to tube them ourselves.
Afterward, we were treated to an amazing 2-hour boat trip on their Dream Catcher vessel where we saw a couple of whales and seals.
A big thank you to Dyer Island Conservation Trust for hosting us!
